Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing one of my Senior Rep Model, Macie’s portraits at The Stockyards, and I’m still glowing from the entire experience. From the moment we began planning her session, I could sense that this location would be the perfect backdrop for her portrait story. The moment we stepped into The Stockyards’ rustic charm, we both knew we’d found the ideal setting for her photos.
The morning light at The Stockyards is absolutely magical. Golden rays filter through weathered wood beams and cast beautiful shadows across the historic brick walls, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented Macie’s vibrant personality.
Each outfit change brought new energy and possibilities to our portrait collection. Together, we played with textures, colors, and styles to create a diverse gallery that truly represents Macie’s unique spirit and style preferences. By the time we wrapped up our session, we had captured over 100 beautiful frames – each one telling part of her story.
What made this experience truly special was the way Macie embraced her personal style while staying true to herself. There’s something incredibly meaningful about documenting this transitional time in a young person’s life – these portraits serve as a reminder of who they are as they prepare to step into their next chapter. For Macie, that next chapter includes a bright future as an athlete at Oklahoma Baptist University, where her volleyball career continues. I’m honored to have documented this milestone in her life.
