What better way to scream “TEXAS” than having family photos taken in a field of bluebonnets?! This Granbury bluebonnet family session in a beautiful field of blue consists of everything I’d hoped for and more with neutral colored clothing, siblings being their most authentic selves, and plenty of playtime once we finished taking pictures with an entire field to run around and play in! Originally from the midwest, this is the family’s first time taking bluebonnet portraits. This hidden gem in Granbury Texas makes these family photos shine.
We began shooting 30 minutes before the sunset, knowing there’s a short window where the light would quickly disappear. Image results: sun flares, high contrast, halo lights, and a beautiful golden hour. This bluebonnet family session for the Smith family produced impeccable images true to each child.
What are your favorite spots to photograph seasonal flowers?! Up next for me is sunflowers near Waco at the end of May and I’m counting down the days! I have a strong feeling that I’ll be hanging up both sets in my home office very very soon.
This is your season — the late nights, big dreams, and the version of yourself you're becoming. Let's capture it exactly as it deserves to be remembered.
