This Aledo Senior Session of Tatum’s was exactly that kind of dreamy experience that reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

From the moment we started, I knew this was going to be something special. Tatum has the best sense of style – seriously, this girl knows how to put together a look! She arrived with the most thoughtfully curated wardrobe, and brought the cutest outfit choices that perfectly captured her personality. Each piece told a story, and watching her confidence shine through in every ensemble was absolutely incredible.

But it wasn’t just the styling that made this session extraordinary. Tatum came prepared with the best props that added those perfect finishing touches to each shot. Dictionaries, favorite hard-cover books, and Baylor logos (used during her older sister’s session too!) What made my heart absolutely full, though, was watching her family dynamic unfold throughout our time together. She had the sweetest sister + mom cheering her on the entire time. Their encouragement and genuine excitement created the most beautiful, positive energy that you can actually see reflected in the photos.

Now, I’ll be honest – Tatum was a little camera-shy at first (which is completely normal and totally okay!). But as we moved through the session, she finally warmed up to having her photo taken, and when that shift occurred, it was a total game changer. Those moments when someone truly relaxes and lets their authentic self shine through? That’s when the real artistry happens.
