If there’s one thing Texas summers are good at, it’s testing your commitment to a good photo.
And with temperatures hovering around 100 degrees, Quinn’s senior portrait session could have easily been a challenge. Instead? She handled it like a total pro.
As one of my Weatherford High School Senior Reps, Quinn joined me for a summer morning in Dallas for a senior session that took us from the beautiful streets of Highland Park to the Dallas Arboretum. Between the gorgeous locations, incredible outfits, and professional hair and makeup, this session had everything we needed to create senior portraits that feel elevated, timeless, and completely Quinn.
We started the morning in Highland Park, where the architecture, greenery, and quiet streets gave us the perfect backdrop for the first part of Quinn’s session.
One of my favorite things about senior portraits is being able to create a gallery that doesn’t feel like every other senior gallery. I want each location and outfit to add something different to the story.
Quinn absolutely understood the assignment.
She moved effortlessly from one look to the next, and even with the Texas heat already making its presence known, she never let it take over the session. 100 degrees? She had more important things to do. 😂
Her confidence made everything so easy, and it gave us the freedom to focus on creating images that felt natural while still having that polished, editorial feel I love for senior portraits.

And then there were the outfits.
A senior session is so much more than simply showing up and taking a few pictures. The wardrobe is a huge part of creating a gallery that feels cohesive while still giving you variety.
Quinn’s outfit choices brought so much personality to her session and helped each location feel completely different.
From the more elevated looks in Highland Park to the softer, more romantic feel of the Dallas Arboretum, every outfit added another layer to her gallery.
And honestly? The hair and makeup from Rachel at The Ranch House Salon were the cherry on top of the cake.
Professional hair and makeup can make such a difference—not because you need to look like someone else, but because it gives you that little extra boost of confidence when you step in front of the camera.
And Quinn was absolutely glowing.
After Highland Park, we headed to the Dallas Arboretum to finish the morning surrounded by lush gardens and beautiful summer scenery.
The Arboretum gave us a completely different look from the first half of the session, which is exactly what I love about incorporating multiple locations into a senior portrait experience.
Instead of an entire gallery feeling like variations of the same image, we were able to create a collection of portraits with different scenery, moods, and movement.
And despite the heat, Quinn continued to absolutely crush it.
By the end of the session, I think we had both earned a giant glass of something cold. 😂
Quinn’s session is such a good example of why I love senior photography so much.
It’s not just about taking pretty pictures.
It’s about creating an experience where you get to dress up, have your hair and makeup done, explore beautiful locations, laugh way too much, and spend a few hours celebrating this really exciting season of your life.
Whether you’re a Weatherford High School senior, a senior in Aledo, Brock, Mineral Wells, or somewhere around the Fort Worth area, your senior portraits should feel like you—just a little more elevated.
And if you’re part of the Class of 2027, now is the time to start thinking about what you want your senior session to look and feel like.
Quinn, you absolutely crushed this one. 💙
Thank you for trusting me to capture this season for you—and for proving that apparently 100-degree Texas heat is no match for a good senior portrait session. 😉
I specialize in high school senior portraits for girls in Weatherford, Parker County, and the surrounding Fort Worth and Dallas areas. From locations and outfits to hair and makeup, I’ll help you plan the entire experience so you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
